I am thrilled to announce that we are celebrating the 5th anniversary of Skintuition, and it fills me with immense joy to reflect on our journey thus far. As we mark this milestone, I cannot help but feel deeply grateful for the incredible support and trust that you have bestowed upon us.
Our story began with a dream nurtured in the northwest suburbs of Chicago by our founder(myself) Susan. In 2010, I embarked on my beauty journey, driven by a passionate desire to pursue my heart's calling as a SPFX makeup artist. Despite the allure of other career paths, I followed my instincts and enrolled at Makeup Designory in Woodland Hills, California, where I honed my skills and expertise.
Upon returning to Chicago, I joined forces with the esteemed makeup artist Paula Hackenseck, who became My mentor and guide. Together, we ventured into the world of weddings, photoshoots, events, pageants, and film, where my talent and dedication shone brightly.
It was during a pivotal discussion with an agency about licensing that peaked my interest in esthetics was ignited. In 2013, i embarked on a journey of discovery, enrolling at the University of Aesthetics. Here, i delved into the medical side of esthetics, captivated by the transformative power of skincare ingredients.
Upon graduation, first as a brow artist, honing the art of brow shaping, and later as a medical esthetician at a prestigious dermatology office in Glencoe, Illinois, where i deepened my understanding of medical esthetics and skincare products.
In 2014, i made the bold move to New York, where i assumed the role of lead esthetician at a renowned North Shore spa. Under the mentorship of my most notable mentor, i embraced innovation and creativity, shaping my aesthetics career in profound ways.
in 2019, fueled by a desire to be closer to my family, my fiancé and i made the heartwarming decision to establish Skintuition in beautiful Louisville, Kentucky. Since its inception, Skintuition has proudly served a significant number of clients, many of whom have sought relief from acne. I am humbled by the opportunity to create jobs and provide training for upcoming estheticians, empowering them to make a positive impact in our community.
At Skintuition, innovation is our mantra, and we pride ourselves on going against the grain to deliver exceptional care and results. However, our greatest pride lies in our unwavering commitment to our clients.
